I am a 49-year-old mother of two living in Crawley and am looking for a reliable, friendly and practical Personal Assistant to provide 12 hours of support each week.
I am a qualified massage therapist who is not currently working due to health issues. My condition causes fluctuating pain levels, which can be affected by the weather, meaning I have both good and bad days. On my better days I am sociable, creative and enjoy getting out and about. On more difficult days I can be quieter and may need a little extra support.
I enjoy organisation and structure and have a passion for DIY projects, upcycling furniture and making jewellery. I am definitely not a "girly girl" and love using power tools and getting stuck into practical projects.
The role will involve supporting me with some personal care tasks, particularly hair washing, helping with bulk cooking and meal preparation, light domestic duties around the home, putting away online shopping deliveries and accompanying me to medical appointments when required.
I am ideally looking for someone who can work 3-hour shifts on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, although there is some flexibility around these days and times for the right person. The position could also be offered as a job share, making it suitable for applicants who are only available for some of the hours.
The ideal candidate will be patient, dependable, organised and have a positive attitude. Previous care or support experience would be beneficial, but a willingness to learn and a good sense of humour are equally important.
If you are interested in supporting an independent, creative and practical person to maintain her home and wellbeing, I would love to hear from you.
