I am looking for 2 caring and patient PAs to support me in my own home where I live with my very supportive wife who needs a break from her caring role.
I have 14 hours available and would like 2 PAs to do these hours between them so I will always have cover.
The calls will be 1 hour at lunchtime and 1 hour in the evening, all calls are Monday to Sunday.
My wife is very much involved with my care, and you will liaise with her daily and she will keep you updated of any changes etc.
There is also 4 hours per week respite for my wife to do her own thing. She may want to go out or just sit in the garden; this will be discussed with you. She would prefer this was on a Wednesday from lunchtime 12.00 until 4.00pm but there is some flexibility on the day and time.
I am an 84-year-old man, and I require physical support and personal care support. I am unable to weight bare following a fall at home in September, although I have recently been up with support and hope to build on this. I hope that with support from carers you may be able to support me to transfer from bed to wheelchair so I can be taken out into the garden.
Support with lunch and evening meal and give encouragement to eat.
Support to get washed & dressed, empty commode, check pressure areas, change bed sheets as necessary.
Duties include:
- Prompting Eating and drinking assistance.
Candidate qualities:
