We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to support a young man, K, in his daily life.
K has a fantastic sense of humour, enjoys playful interactions, and loves music and singing.
He is wheelchair-dependent, non-verbal, and is supported on a 2:1 staff basis during the daytime. He is also gastrostomy (PEG) fed and requires assistance with medication, as well as support with household and domestic tasks.
The role involves providing personal care and emotional support, ensuring K feels safe, happy, and reassured throughout the day. He thrives when given choices and enjoys a sense of independence in his routine. A gentle, kind voice and a calming presence are important, as K is tactile and finds comfort in things like foot massages.
You will also be responsible for driving K’s vehicle, so a full driving licence is essential.
