We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support a friendly lady in her mid-50s to live independently and enjoy an active, fulfilling lifestyle.
This rewarding role involves providing both practical and social support, including accompanying her to appointments, accessing community activities, offering companionship, supporting independent living, assisting with shopping and meal preparation, and occasionally walking her dog. An interest in arts and crafts would be a real advantage, as part of the role includes supporting attendance at a weekly craft class.
The position is currently for 5 hours per week, working on Friday mornings and either a Monday (with times to be agreed) or occasionally a Saturday, depending on needs and activities. Flexibility is important, as support requirements may vary from time to time. There is potential for the hours to increase in the near future.
This is a shared role alongside another Personal Assistant who is already in post. The ability to provide occasional holiday cover would therefore be highly desirable.
Experience and knowledge of supporting individuals with mental health needs is essential. The role is expected to include medication support in the future, so previous experience with medication administration would be beneficial, although a willingness to undertake training is equally important.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as the role involves supporting access to appointments and community-based activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is caring, patient, and committed to making a positive difference in another person's life.
If you enjoy building meaningful relationships and helping others achieve greater independence, we would love to hear from you
Duties include:
- Occasional dog walks
- Support accessing the community
- Accompany to appointments
