Safeguarding

This training is designed to help you recognise and respond to concerns or risks related to the welfare and safety of adults and children at risk. The primary goal of this training is to prevent and address abuse, neglect, or harm and to ensure the well-being of the people you support. Once completed, this training should be refreshed every 2 years.

What will be covered?

  • What safeguarding is.
  • Your responsibilities.
  • What to do if someone is in danger.
  • Making safeguarding personal.
  • The types of abuse and how to recognise these.
  • What to do if you suspect abuse.

Funding

Our courses are currently fully funded by Skills for Care for personal assistants (PAs) of individual employers receiving an adult Direct Payment or adult Personal Health Budget (PHB), adults self-funding their care, and self-employed PAs.

If you do not qualify for this funding and still wish to attend, there would be a cost of £40 per person. For more information or any questions, please email [email protected].
