This training is designed to help you recognise and respond to concerns or risks related to the welfare and safety of adults and children at risk. The primary goal of this training is to prevent and address abuse, neglect, or harm and to ensure the well-being of the people you support. Once completed, this training should be refreshed every 2 years.
What will be covered?
- What safeguarding is.
- Your responsibilities.
- What to do if someone is in danger.
- Making safeguarding personal.
- The types of abuse and how to recognise these.
- What to do if you suspect abuse.
Funding
Our PA training courses are currently fully funded by Skills for Care. This funding is available for Individual Employers living in England, aged 18 and over who employ their own PAs or contract* self-employed PAs, using either:
- their own money
- adult social care Direct Payments
- NHS Personal Health Budgets.
*’Contracted’ refers to PAs with true self-employed status. We may ask for evidence from self-employed PAs accessing training.
