An Introduction to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

The goal of this training is to create environments where all individuals are treated fairly, with dignity and respect, regardless of their background, characteristics, or differences. In a world that thrives on diversity and inclusivity, understanding and appreciating the unique differences of individuals is paramount.

What will be covered?

  • The definitions of equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • The 9 protected characteristics.
  • The Equality Act 2010.
  • The definitions of harassment, discrimination and victimisation.
  • Unconscious bias and stereotypes.

This session will be held online via Zoom.

Funding

Our courses are currently fully funded by Skills for Care for personal assistants (PAs) of individual employers receiving an adult Direct Payment or adult Personal Health Budget (PHB), adults self-funding their care, and self-employed PAs.
