Hours per week:
Approx. 2.45pm-6.30pm/7.00pm once a fortnight on a Friday
Hourly pay rate:
£20.00 per hour
I am a father living in Worthing looking for support for my two daughters
They are age 6 and 8, have Autism and sensory processing issues and are mainly non-verbal.
They enjoy playing with their dolls, playing on the X-box, going to the park.
I require a PA to pick them both up from school in Shoreham on a Friday, once a fortnight.
You would be required to then care for them at my home in Worthing, or your own home if you live locally, for a few hours until I arrive home/pick them up after work.
Some food preparation may be required or giving them some ready prepared food.
You must have some experience of working with children with disabilities.
You should also be friendly, reliable, trustworthy and be a driver with your own car.
Duties include:
Domestic -
Preparing food/drink and/or giving them ready prepared food.
Tidying up after a play activity
Personal Care:
Reminding/prompting with toileting, washing hands etc
Social:
- Picking the children up from school
- Driving them in your car
- Playing with the children
- Keeping them safe and supervised at all times
Candidate qualities:
- Experienced in working with children with disabilities
- A car driver with own car
- Patient and understanding
- Friendly and cheerful
- Refrain from smoking in the home
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
