I am looking for personal care for a Man

Drivers licence required: Yes

Own vehicle needed: Yes

Hours per week:

8 hours per week 4 hours on a Wednesday and Thursday morning.

Hourly pay rate:

£12.00

I am a 81 year old man, with Alzheimer's, before I retired I worked as a photographer. I remain passionate about photography and enjoy talking about it.  I am looking for a PA to support me. I enjoy going for drives and having a coffee, I like listening to classical music. I would also like support to organise my photographs and photographic equipment. I am learning to use my iPad, so a working knowledge of apple devices would be good.

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Personal grooming
  • Moving and handling
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality

  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
