Drivers licence required:
Hours per week:
An average of 5 hours per week which could be worked on one weekend day session or split depending on PA availability. Days & hours to be mutually agreed with employer.
Hourly pay rate:
Between £10.00 & £12.00 ph, depending on experience.
Social Care Assistant
My son is a 10-year-old boy who has complex additional needs. He is visually impaired, Epileptic and has a diagnosis of ADHD. He is fully verbal, mobile and likes to be independent. He has a great imagination and commonly described as a delight to be around; full of fun and likes to be adventurous. Although his needs are complex, he accesses a range of activities in the community with minimal support. His ADHD presents in that his attention span is limited unless participating in an activity he likes which the candidate would support. He has no particularly challenging behaviours and loves the outdoors, music and being with others; adults and peers.

Enable and assist my son to access hobbies and positive activities in the local area.

The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
