I am looking for personal care for a Woman

Drivers licence required: No

Hours per week:

2.5 hours per week – Monday, Wednesday or Friday depending on your availability.

Hourly pay rate:

I am an intelligent, funny, creative mum to 2 teenage boys who is looking for a self-employed personal assistant to help me access the local community.

I am a creative person and have a degree in art and have lived in a variety of places including France and Cornwall. My Chronic Illness, Neuropathy, has made a huge difference to how I live my life. It leaves me in constant pain, so I find it difficult to be positive.

I would like someone proactive and cheerful to help bring the fun back into my life.

Duties include:

  • Housekeeping
  • Companionship

Domestic:

  • Support to paperwork and correspondence when required

Social: 

  • Accompany me when accessing social and leisure activities e.g. Going out for coffee, pottery classes etc
  • Help me to find groups/classes/events to meet other people in local area.

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Creative
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
