I am looking for personal care for a Man

Drivers licence required: No

Hours per week:

2 hours in morning, 3 hours in evening for tea time, bed, 7 days a week. Flexible.

Hourly pay rate:

£10 hour weekdays. £11 at weekends

Great opportunity to work for a young disabled man with cerebral palsy at university. Personal care is part of the role but care experience is not required, as training/guidance is given. Also support with medication. The workplace will be in halls of residence.

Duties include:

  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Bathroom assistance
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Personal grooming
  • Housekeeping
  • Cooking
  • Moving and handling
  • Medication prompting/administering

  • Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away
  • Changing bed linen
  • Bed making
  • Taking out rubbish
  • Supervision and/or assistance with showering, drying, hair washing/ brushing as required
  • Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required
  • General hair/skin care
  • Getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring')
  • Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required
  • Accompany employer when accessing social and leisure activities
