Hours per week:

20 hours a week (job share may be considered) Some flexibility may be negotiable by mutual arrangement and depending on the young lady’s needs Some weekend and evening hours are needed but are very flexible

Hourly pay rate:

£11 per hour. Plus mileage

We are looking for a personal assistant to support an intelligent, fun-loving, and creative young lady. She has limited speech with Autism and communicates using an i-Pad and facilitated writing.

The role is to support her in her daily routine at her local activity day centre and in other places and aspects of her daily life. Her new PA will ideally be energetic, open minded and a great team player who can use their own initiative and love the outdoors.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can commit to supporting a 19 year old woman on a one-to-one basis and making a significant difference in her life. You will receive full training in all aspects of the role.

  • Ability to use i-Pad or similar technology

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
