I am looking for personal care for a Child

Drivers licence required: No

Hours per week:

4 hours contract Saturday or Sunday term time. Any day during school holidays

Hourly pay rate:

£11.75 per hour

Carer needed for my 10 year old son who is autistic and lives in Chichester. He is very active, sociable and a lot of fun. He loves skateparks, trampoline parks, soft play, fun fairs such as Harbour Park, Selsey and Hayling Island.

We are looking for someone who can join him on days out. You must have experience with children with special needs as he also can present challenging behaviour in some situations.

This is a very rewarding role with the opportunity to visit some great places with an amazing boy and we would love to hear from you.

A Drivers Licence is preferable but not essential as my son has a bus pass

 

 

Duties include:

  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Companionship

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Creative
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles
  • A Drivers Licence is preferable but not essential as my son has a bus pass (mileage paid at 40p per mile if using your own car).

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
