Hours per week:

12 hours a week during the 13 weeks of school holidays.) Days and shift times by mutual agreement) Job share welcome

Hourly pay rate:

£11.50 ph

I am looking for someone to support my 13-year-old son during the school holidays to enable him to have fun days out.

My son is a bubbly, talkative teenager who loves Big Ben and windmills as well as other interesting buildings. He has Brittle Bone Disease and uses a wheelchair or walking frame and is very independent.

Tasks will be taking my son out into the community, accompanying us on family days out or engaging him in activities he enjoys at home.

Duties include:

  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Companionship
  • Transportation

Accompanying my son on trips out keeping him safe
Accompany on family days out.
The above duties will involve, lifting the folding wheelchairs in/out of the employer's car, pushing my son's wheelchair when needed.
Whilst on duty at the employer's home watching TV and engaging my son in activities he enjoys.

  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
