I am looking for personal care for a Child

Own vehicle needed: Yes
Hours per week:
4-6 hrs a week. Flexible during holidays. Weekends during term time
Hourly pay rate:
£12.40
I am looking for a bubbly, friendly & fun PA, to support my Autistic daughter who is 12 years old to access the community.
She is sweet and loving girl with a great sense of humour and has us in stitches with her one liners!
She can be quite anxious at times so needs lots of reassurance however when she is comfortable with you, she can be right chatterbox and is great fun to be with.
She is creative and loves art, horses, Harry Potter and Rainbow High.
The role is to support her with getting out and joining in with fun and age appropriate activities so it is essential you are a driver with your own car
We live in Selsey and are very close to the beach.
Duties include:
- Although no hands on personal care is needed she needs reassurance and support when using public toilets to feel safe.
- Driving and accompanying to social events such as:CinemaSwimming
Bowling
Flip out
Shopping
Attending Riding for Disabled
- Accompanying on trips out e.g. to take photographs at the beach or in the woods or, visiting friends.
- Accompanying on trips out eg to the garden centre, beach, cinema, craft fairs, local visits, out shopping for fun, attending social events, attending therapies and disability group
- Accompanying to social meetings eg friends, familyThe above duties will involve driving my daughter in the PA’s car,
Candidate qualities:
- Feels comfortable around horses
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
