Personal Assistant (sleeping nights)

I am looking for personal care for a Man

Drivers licence required: No

Hours per week:

vernight – exact hours negotiable, but usually 7pm to 7am – with a mixture of sleeping and waking hours. Some shadow shifts will be required during induction period, which may necessitate working some day-time hours.

Hourly pay rate:

£11.44 per hour sleeping and £13.33 per hour waking (rising to £14.01 once clinical training complete). Mileage rate (if applicable): N/A

I am a young gentleman living with my parents, younger sister, dog and two cats. I have a brilliant sense of humour and enjoy listening to silly songs/sentences. I have a cheeky smile and am very affectionate. Although I do not speak, I have other ways of communicating and it is therefore important that you are patient and give me time to respond so my views are respected.

You will be provided with all necessary training to enable you to safetly and competently carry out all the duties required.
Please note that my mother is the employer and we live in a rural location, with no reliable public transport, so you will need to have your own transport to and from our home.

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Personal grooming
  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Moving and handling
  • Clinical tasks
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
