We are looking for two kind, reliable, and positive Personal Assistants to support a 44-year-old woman with Muscular Dystrophy and respiratory failure. She is a full-time wheelchair user who loves shopping, going out for lunch, visiting the beach, and enjoying days out in Brighton and London. These roles are about helping her live life to the fullest, with the right balance of care, companionship, and practical support.
The ideal people will be understanding, patient, and happy to go with the flow. A cheerful, can-do attitude and a genuine interest in helping someone maintain independence and enjoy daily life are essential.
The first position is for Monday and Friday mornings (9:30am–12:00pm) to help with her morning routine. This may include supporting her to get dressed or showered, doing some housework, and running errands outside the house. It’s important that you enjoy housework and take pride in those finishing touches that make a home feel clean, tidy, and cared for.
The second position is for weekday evenings (Monday to Friday, 6:45pm–7:45pm) to assist with the evening routine and getting into bed. This involves using a ceiling hoist, so someone confident or willing to learn how to use this equipment is ideal.
Because of her health conditions, it’s essential that PAs are mindful about not working around coughs, colds, or any illness.
If you’re caring, positive, and want to make a real difference in someone’s life, we’d love to hear from you.
