I am looking for personal care for a Man

Drivers licence required: Yes

Own vehicle needed: Yes

Hours per week:

4 hours a week, Wednesday or Thursday 10:30am – 2:30pm Summary. Times may be flexible for the right applicant.

Hourly pay rate:

£10.42 per hour

I am looking for a personal assistant to help me live independently and help with domestic duties and social activities.

I am 31-year-old man with Cerebral Palsy who lives independently and uses a wheelchair.

I’d like some help around the house, so things like ironing as well as general household tasks like changing lightbulbs and tidying. Occasionally may need to change the bed. Someone with green fingers would be especially appreciated to help take care of my front garden.

Primarily, I’m looking for someone on the same hobbies as me, who’s friendly and sociable who likes to get out and do things, even if it’s just going to the shops or the cinema and would drive me in their car.

 

Duties include:

  • Other relevant duties as required

  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Gardening

  • Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required
  • Accompany employer when accessing social and leisure activities, including the hairdresser.
  • Making and accompanying employer to medical appointments
  • Assisting with correspondence
  • Driving and accompanying to social events such as:
  • Cinema
  • The above duties will involve driving the employer in the PA’s car, lifting the folding wheelchair in/out of car.

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
