I am looking for personal care  for a child

Drivers licence required: No

Hours per week:

07:45 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday in school holidays

Hourly pay rate:

£12.00 ph negotiable

My son has Autism and hyperactivity and loves going out for walks and visits to the zoo.

Tasks will be taking my son out for the day or engaging him in activities he enjoys at home.

If you’re a dog lover and want to take our dog out with you and my son that would be great but this is not a deal-breaker.

If you are a self-employed PA/Nanny, then please do apply with details of your terms.

Duties include:

  • Cooking
  • Companionship
  • Other relevant duties as required

Additional Duties:

Check that my son has washed his hands after using the toilet.
Accompanying my son on trips out keeping him safe
Whilst on duty at the employer’s home watching TV and engaging my son in activities he enjoys.

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer’s privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Creative
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Must be comfortable with pets
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

A UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is desirable

Notes:

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
