I am looking for personal care for a Woman

The candidate should be a woman

Drivers licence required: Yes

Own vehicle needed: Yes

Hours per week:

1- 3pm for 3 to 5 days a week Mon - Fri

Hourly pay rate:

£15 per hour

I am a 93 year old lady who is looking for a proactive and encouraging person to support me at home. I need help to get to establish a routine as I find this difficult on my own

I have some cognitive impairment so don't always understand what I need to do so some gentle prompting maybe required

I have a cheeky sense of humour, love animals and enjoy having a chat

I would like to be able to go out at times either to choose my own shopping or just for a cup of tea

Duties include:

  • Shopping
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Cooking
  • Companionship
  • Housekeeping
  • Medication prompting/administering

Washing of clothes & bed linen
Washing up
Changing bed linen
Ironing if needed.
Shopping for food
Cooking a hot meal & leaving sandwich/soup/cheese & biscuits for lunch
General cleaning
Encouraging to get dressed if not dressed when a PA arrives. I can do this myself but tend to sleep late & then stay in nightclothes.
Possibly supervise a bath once a week
Encourage to take medication if not taken
Taking out for prearranged outings for shopping ,coffee, lunch out.
Leave with drinks on her table.
Time to sit & chat with & have a cup of tea

Candidate qualities:

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
