I like going to the pub & clubbing with friends, going for long walks, gaming, sports and football. The role will require you to assist me with all personal care needs, to assist and support me in accessing and participating in social & community activities such as helping me to meet up with friends, shopping and attending football matches and days out.

You will be provided with full mandatory training to enable you to provide care to meet my every day needs, such as manual handling, epilepsy, cough assist, bypap, chest physio. Freedom to be able to accompany myself on holiday (abroad or within the UK) or weekends away is desirable. The job description is Illustrative of duties and responsibilities but is subject to review from time to time.

  • Moving and handling
  • Clinical tasks
  • Other relevant duties as required

Additional Duties:

Toileting, washing, showering and dressing, meeting personal hygiene needs.
Assistance with mealtimes. Lifting and handling using a range of equipment such as slide sheets, hoists and slings. The PA will be required to maintain my dignity at all times and be aware of careful handling.
You will be provided with full mandatory training to enable you to provide me with the personal care I require such as epilepsy management, medication administration, and cough assist, bypap and chest physio whilst adhering to Health and Safety procedures to ensure the safety and health of myself and you.
You will also be required to follow Health & Safety procedures designed to ensure the health & safety of myself and you. Using equipment such as slings, hoists, cough assist and Bypap machines.
You will be required to ensure record sheets and time sheets are filled in and up to date at all times.
You will be required to assist and accompany me in a range of social activities from days out, meeting friends and occasional weekends away and day trips.
Accompanying and assisting me to hospital appointments, hydrotherapy sessions and general accessing of the community.

Notes:

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
