Hours per week:

2 hours on a Monday and Thursday (11am-1pm flexibility with start and finish time)

Hourly pay rate:

Hourly pay rate: £12.50. Mileage rate (if applicable): 45p

Do you have a spare 4 hours a week to support a 60 year lady to gain confidence to access her local area?

My mother is looking for a personal assistant to encourage and support her to enjoy activities that she used to enjoy before her last hospital admission. My mother has a really loving and supportive family and adores spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoys visiting coffee chops, going for walks and taking pride in her garden. Episodes of poor mental health have been part of her life for a number of years and so having a personal assistant who is positive, supportive and encouraging will be vital to help her start to regain some confidence and independence.

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Housekeeping
  • Shopping
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Gardening

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
  • Happy to work in a smoking environment
