I am looking for personal care for a Woman

The candidate should be a woman

Drivers licence required: No

Hours per week:

10 – 16 hours a week, Weekdays and Weekends shifts available. Shifts will be 9am – 12pm and 4pm – 6pm, ability to cover sickness & holidays.

Hourly pay rate:

£11.00 per hour Mon-Fri & £12.00 per hour Sat & Sun

I am a friendly, chatty lady looking for a personal assistant to support me within my home.

I am looking for support with my personal care needs, preparing meals/drinks, shopping & housework.

I love looking at my fish tank, which is my pride and joy.

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Personal grooming
  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Administration
  • Housekeeping
  • Shopping
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Dressing / undressing


  • Ordering shopping
  • Accompanying employer to doctors/hospital appointments when required
  • Whilst on duty at the employer’s home watching TV and assisting with artwork activities.

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Creative
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Must be comfortable with pets
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
