I am looking for personal care for a Woman

Hours per week:

Various shifts available, please apply if you can do any of the following. Monday – Friday: 2 hours morning, 1 hour afternoon. Saturday – Sunday: 2.5 hours morning, 1 hour afternoon, 1 hour evening.

Hourly pay rate:

£11.44

Friendly and positive individual employing looking for staff to join her team. This role is vital to enable independence within the home. Shifts are short so give lots of flexibility. Tasks will involve personal care, preparing meals, general domestic tasks including laundry and cleaning.

I am a very outgoing, friendly and socially confident lady wanting to enjoy life.

Hobbies are visiting nice parks; enjoy cinema; seaside trips; coffee with friends; dining out; church functions; love writing, used to own company.

This role is to provide me with daily personal care support tasks, that I can’t manage independently while at home, as well as some domestic support. Full instructions and training will be given so you can be confident in your role. I’m a wheelchair user and have a power chair so I’m independent away from home, running my errands, attending leisure and social activities.

You would be expected to access my property using the Key Safe entry system for your shifts.

Just to add MS is not just a physical disability that is seen, there are hidden disabilities. PAs at times will need to exercise empathy.

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Personal grooming
  • Moving and handling
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Administration
  • Housekeeping
  • Shopping
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

  • Highly important for PAs to keep each room clean and tidy to allow me safe and unobstructed access.
  • To ensure employer has access to water; gadgets; charger; keys at the end of all calls.
  • PAs responsible for charging powered wheelchair of a night; and personal monitor every morning.

  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • Understanding of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a benefit
  • Time conscious, punctual and reliable
  • Observant and present (presence of mind)
