I am looking for personal care for a Child

Drivers licence required: Yes

Own vehicle needed: Yes

Hours per week:

2 afternoons per week, 3pm – 6pm (approx, can be changed upon discussion with employer)

Hourly pay rate:

10.50

My son is cheerful and outgoing, very funny and enjoys being outside and exploring. He attends a drama club that he loves and is doing really well there. At home he likes to practice magic tricks, bounce on the trampoline, listen to music and dance. His dislikes are loud noises and unfamiliar people.

This role is to provide one-to-one support to my son while he is attending activities afterschool 2 afternoons per week, travelling to and from places within the community, and ensuring he is safe in and away from the home. He often just needs a safe person to take him outside for a brain break if he becomes overwhelmed.

The ideal applicant would be fun, friendly, clear in their communication and relaxed.

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Dressing / undressing

Accompany and assist with accessing the community for activities such as:
Swimming
Drama club
Library
Beach
Park

The above duties will involve driving the employer in the PA’s car,
Whilst on duty at home, doing activities like puzzles, games, playing in the garden.

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
