I'm looking for a PA to work with my 44 year old son. He is neurodiverse and struggles particularly with OCD. He needs help accessing social skills with the aim of achieving independent living.
Among the tasks needed for this role are assistance with attending music concerts and rock festivals, cinema and swimming.
His interests include tv, films, listening to rock music and going out for a coffee,
The PA will need to help with shopping and a little cooking. No personal care is required.
The hours will be between 4 and 8 hours per week, afternoons or evenings preferred. Possibility of occasional weekend or bank holiday working for concerts, etc.
Duties include:
- Visit to rock festival requires planning and organisation and logistical duties on the day.
- Swimming trips can be at anti-social times so flexibility is essential.
Candidate qualities:
- Patient and understanding of the particular needs of those with neurodiversity.
- Able to be flexible with duties and react to client’s variable presentation.
- Good humour essential, as is a holistic approach to the role.
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
