We have several hours to be split between workers and can be discussed at interview.

We are looking for fun, confident and caring people to assist my 24 year old daughter who is a bright young lady with a great sense of humour and a wheelchair user. She forms very close bonds with her carers and learns to rely on them.

She loves music, theatre, crafts, cooking, socializing and days out. She is very girlie, loves the colour pink, nail varnish, shopping etc.

We have several hours to be split between workers and can be discussed at interview. Hours available – Daytime: to take and work in the local day centre which includes assisting with all her needs /activities and bring home. Evenings at her home. Nights at her home. Weekends: this will be on a 2:1 for a few hours for days out.

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Personal grooming
  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Moving and handling
  • Clinical tasks
  • Administration
  • Housekeeping
  • Shopping
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

  • All personal care
  • Days out in her own vehicle
  • Activities when attending local day centre
  • Assistance with communication

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • Willing to drive employer’s vehicle
  • Over 25 with a clean driving license
