I am an active, intelligent 26 year old man with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and I live in the Littlehampton area.

The job involves personal care and social activities. Previous caring experience is not essential, but you must be able to drive.

The rate of pay is £12.50 an hour.

Ideally suited to an active candidate as the role includes assisting with sporting activities as well as socialising with my friends.

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Personal grooming
  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Moving and handling
  • Clinical tasks
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Transportation
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • Must be willing to drive my wheelchair adapted car

Non-smoker due to medical reasons
