Hourly pay rate:

£12.00

We are looking for a PA to support our 10 year old son, who has a diagnosis of autism but predominantly presents with an ADHD profile. He is verbal, fully mobile, has no other health issues and carries out his own self-care. He is incredibly friendly, cheerful and funny, and just loves spending time with other people. He enjoys music, anime and gaming, but mostly loves being outdoors.
We’re looking for someone to take him out on walks, to cafes, for ice cream, to the cinema, for days out, and occasionally to assist us on family days out so our other children can be supported. He struggles with impulse control and auditory processing, and can be very active.
5 hours a week, which can be used for one day a week on weekends, or can be saved up for use in holidays/half terms. Finding the right person for him is our priority. We have two dogs and a cat, and are looking for a non-smoker.

Candidate qualities:

  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Must be comfortable with pets

Accompany on walks, to cafes, for ice cream, to the cinema, for days out, and occasionally to assist us on family days out so our other children can be supported.

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
