I am looking for personal care for a Man

Drivers licence required: Yes

Hours per week:

Needed- evening shifts 7 days a week 4pm till 8pm Night shift 7 days a week 8pm till 8.30am Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday 9am till 4pm

Hourly pay rate:

To be discussed at interview but will cover national minimum of wage £10.42 an hour

To support a pleasant and polite 43 year old man with an acquired brain injury with all aspects of his personal care for example all toileting/showering/shaving/conveen (training will be given). A second carer will be on hand for mornings and evenings for transfers and showering. He is a full time wheelchair user also needing stand aid and hoist for moving in and out of bed etc. The tasks that are involved in the role include laundry, cleaning and cooking meals in his own fully adapted two bedroom bungalow.

The successful candidate must have full UK driving licence (not needed for night shifts) and be comfortable to drive our Motability vehicle. If you are a day shift worker then you will take my son to a day centre four times a week, in which you will drop him off and pick him from, so you have plenty of spare time while he is at day centre, as you do not have to attend.

On his days at home he likes to attend the: cinema, football, shopping and just going out and about in his community.

On sleeping nights once my son is in bed no care is required until following morning.

Successful applicants must be able to speak English, be respectful of clients privacy and confidentiality. Be hygienic and well organised, patient and legally permitted to work in the UK.

  • Will have a full UK driving licence and be happy to drive our Motability vehicle.
