I am looking for personal care for a Woman

The candidate should be a woman

Drivers licence required: No

Hours per week:

Mon: 4.30pm-7.30pm, Tue: 4.30pm-7.30pm, Fri: 4.30pm-7.30pm and either Saturday or Sunday for a 6hr shift. This can be flexible

Hourly pay rate:

£12 per hour

To enable me to enjoy as independent life as possible at home and when out and about.
Background: I am a 19-year-old female trying to live life to the full. I am a cheerful person and love fun activities.

I have autism which impacts on my day- to- day life

I need someone who can support me to access the community and learn appropriate life skills for independence, whilst having fun!

Support with personal care tasks will be required

I need support with accessing Social and Leisure activities such as shopping and visiting places of interest

I enjoy watching tv and gaming on my PC

I love drawing, Arts and Crafts

This role involves supporting me to access public transport

I am looking for a PA who has a keen sense of humour, is open minded, non-judgmental and has an awareness of Disability issues.

A PA who has excellent time keeping, organisation and communication skills will be a bonus

Duties include:

  • Bathroom assistance
  • Companionship
  • Personal grooming
  • Moving and handling
  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Cooking

  • Washing and bathing/showering – towelling dry/ drying hair
  • Supervision and/or assistance with showering, drying, hair washing/ brushing as required
  • Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required
  • Accompany me when accessing social and leisure activities, including going to the park
  • Occasional longer journeys
  • Accompanying on trips out of interest
  • Accompanying on trips out eg to the garden centre, beach, cinema, craft fairs, local visits, out shopping for fun, attending social events.
  • Whilst on duty at our family home watching TV and assisting with craft activities

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
