Hours per week:
10.00am-1.00pm on Tuesday (set hours) 10.00am-1.00pm on Sunday (can be flexible) There is some flexibility on hours/times. Could be a job share. Please apply for whatever days you are interested
Hourly pay rate:
£15.00 per hour. Mileage rate (if applicable): 35p per mile
I am a 26 year old woman needing support with developing independent living skills and building confidence.
I like working with animals and children and am interested in Japanese/Korean culture e.g. K-pop and K-drama.
I need support and encouragement with prioritising, planning and completing tasks e.g. shopping, meal planning and preparation, domestic tasks, budgeting/paperwork.
Help also required with attending appointments and social activities, communicating and meeting new people. Once a month I would like to visit the Natural History Museum in London with my PA.
Although I do not present any challenging behaviour. I need support with managing anxieties and dealing with sensory sensitivities.
A female PA is required to accompany me into female toilets when out in the community.
You should have experience of working with people with Autism, be friendly, a great motivator, very understanding and patient.
Driver with own car would be preferable due to village location. Reasonable mileage when taking me out in your car would be reimbursed.
We have a small, friendly dog so you must be comfortable with dogs.
I vape but only outside my home.
You would report to my mother as your employer.
Duties include:
- Support/encouragement with planning, prioritising and completing tasks e.g. domestic tasks, laundry, following recipes, budgeting, personal care tasks.
- Support/encouragement with going to appointments, social activities, understanding and communication, meeting new people, building confidence in social situations.
Candidate qualities:
- Experience of working with people with Autism
- The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.
