I am looking for personal care for a Woman

Hours per week:

Monday – Friday. – Shifts times are between 8:30am and 10am. Totalling 7.5 hours a week Times are flexible and can be discussed at interview

I am a happy, easy going employer, looking for a reliable and friendly personal Assistant. I need help with housework, simple meal preparation and some personal care.

The work place is a family environment and we are very fun and welcoming. We do live in a fairly remote area so driving your own car would be an advantage.

Duties include:

  • Cooking
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Shopping
  • Moving and handling
  • Bathroom assistance
  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Housekeeping
  • Personal grooming
  • Administration
  • Companionship
  • Gardening

  • Accompany employer to doctor/hospital when required
  • Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away
  • Changing bed linen,
  • Bed making,
  • Taking out rubbish
  • Minor household maintenance eg. changing light bulbs, taking down curtains for washing
  • Helping to keep my equipment clean and in good condition
  • Support to get in and out of shower as required
  • Support to wash hair
  • Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required
  • Accompany employer to doctor/hospital when required

Candidate qualities:

  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Creative
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • UK driving licence desirable but not essential
  • Access to own vehicle desirable but not essential

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
