Are you someone compassionate and empathetic?

Do you have the qualities of Nanny MacPhee or Mary Poppins?!

Are you looking for a varied role, where you could make a real difference?

I am seeking 2 supportive and caring personal assistants to enable me to manage my very busy family life. Day to day can be a bit hectic and the pain I experience everyday can really take it out of me. Some days I will be chatty (I have also been told I have a great sense of humour!), other days when I am not feeling well and feeling anxious, I will need a bit more support. Your supportive, caring nature and ability to mirror how I am feeling will be really important.

Your role will predominantly be supporting my personal care needs, helping me keep on top of the housework, attending appointments and to support with some of my mothering duties. Having experience or an understanding of children with Autism would be useful as my son has high functioning Autism and attends a mainstream school.

With your help, I also hope to get out and about with my children and have a bit of fun.

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Personal grooming
  • Moving and handling
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Administration
  • Housekeeping
  • Shopping
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Looking after pets
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

  • Picking up the children from school when required and monitor risks i.e. road safety when crossing the road.

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • Understanding/experience of Autism in children.
  • Supportive and caring, able to mirror my feelings and respond appropriately.
