Hours per week:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday Evenings between 4pm-8pm. Saturday and Sunday’s hours start from 10am and time of shift start, and end can be flexible and mutually agreed.

Hourly pay rate:

£10.42

I am a 19 year old young person with Cerebral Palsy. I am a full time wheelchair user and use hoists to move around the house. I am a happy person and have a great sense of humour and I am always up for a giggle or two. I have a passion for music and I love going to beach and eating noodles on the seafront or going on a train trip to London.

The successful applicant would be comfortable in providing all aspects of personal care, to help with eating my meals and to support me with social and leisure activities both at home and out of the home. We are a busy family so your support accompany me on trips and out and about would be appreciated. You don’t need to be a driver for this role but you will need your own transport to get into Wisborough Green as transport is unreliable.

Duties include:

  • Personal grooming
  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Moving and handling
  • Companionship
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

Going on walks when weather is nice
Support on trips with the family

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality

  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Creative
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Must be comfortable with pets
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
