Hours per week:
12noon - 5pm Monday to Friday (exact times/hours TBC)
Hourly pay rate:
£12 per hour
I am a 29 year old woman living with my husband and shortly due to have a baby in February of this year
I am looking for someone to assist me with some personal care and to support me with my role of being a new mother.
I will need physical help to care for my new baby for example; lifting, rocking and changing nappies.
I require assistance with preparing meals and household tasks.
Ideally the successful applicant will be flexible and willing to cover when other PA'S are on leave.
Starting rate £12 per hour
- This will be a rewarding role with all necessary training provided
Duties include:
- General housework and tidying, including cleaning, dusting and vacuuming, helping with laundry, changing bed linen.
- Feeding and taking the dog out if required.
- Assisting with looking after my new baby.
- Assistance with the care of a baby/child for example lifting, feeding, rocking and changing nappies.
- Helping with other aspects of personal care as required, for example nail care
- Assist with physiotherapy exercises
- Assisting with showering/drying whilst helping to maintain as much independence as possible
- Assistance with transfers between commode/shower chair/wheelchair
- Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required
- Assisting employer to attend baby groups.
- Accompanying employer to doctors/hospital appointments and other trips eg the vets when required.
- The above duties will involve driving the employer in the employers car, securing wheelchair safely.

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
