I am a 64 year old man looking for a PA to help me due to a stroke I had some years ago. I require help around my home as well as my personal care needs as a purely professional engagement.
You must be at least trained in using a hoist but experience isn’t necessarily an issue as I am happy to show you what is required. Training in health and safety and first aid would also be advantageous.
I would work well with someone that can follow instruction and communicate things to me before they happen. Also, someone that likes a clean environment as much as I do. Keeping a clean and orderly home is important to me so having a PA that feels the same way is a must.
Duties include:
- Carer to hoist Client unto shower chair to have a shower
- Carer to hoist client to use the toilet
- Carer to apply all prescribed creams to pressure areas
- Carer to help client to put on his gown
- Carer to hoist client into his wheelchair
- Carer to wheel client into the garden if the weather is nice.
- Carer to do light cleaning to tidy up clients surrounding.
- Carer to put black bags and incontinent sheets on client's bed to prevent soiling
- Carer to hoist client into his bed.
