Join our Moving and Handling people training course today and gain the confidence and competence to provide safe and compassionate assistance to those you support. \nWhat will be covered?\n\nYour roles and responsibilities in regard to moving and handling people.\nThe principles of safe moving and handling.\nThe consequences of poor moving and handling and examples of moves no longer used.\nIn person practise of using safe manoeuvres e.g. the use of a slide sheet and hoist.\nKnowledge of how to take care of your own health & safety when moving someone.\n\n\nFunding\n\n\nThis course is available free of charge for Individual Employers living in England\, aged 18 and over who employ their own PAs or contract* self-employed PAs\, using either: \n\ntheir own money\nadult social care Direct Payments\nNHS Personal Health Budgets.\n\n*’Contracted’ refers to PAs with true self-employed status.
